Ilio is pleased to bring you the first significant string orchestra library to appear in three years. The Virtuoso Series String Orchestra was recorded and produced by violinist/composer Kirk Hunter to afford the sampling musician an unprecedented vocabulary of multi-sampled string sounds. The library offers a number of choices of section sizes, ranging from 24 players to 2, and includes many of the most commonly used articulations, including a true Sordini and beautifully subtle section slides.
How does it compare with other string libraries? The Virtuoso Series Strings were recorded in a large hall, like other popular string collections. However these strings were miked in such a way that both the spacious warmth and texture of the sustain portion sing through, while allowing the bowed attacks to be heard for quicker passages. This results in superior playability, while sacrificing nothing in broad, orchestral ambience. This multi-disc set is thoroughly programmed in many native sampler formats to take advantage of your platforms unique architecture.
“When I first sat down to play these sounds, I did not want to stop. That’s the bottom line for me - inspiration. The Kirk Hunter string Library has it! In fact, my last two projects contain my favourite string sounds to date.... Thank you Kirk!” Michael Boddicker - Producer, Composer, Keyboardist.
~ Violins 24 players, 8 players, 2 players, Solo.
